Attendee Resources

We’re so excited to have you join us for the ATD Government Workforce 2020. This page is your information hub to ensure you have everything you need to make it a successful conference! Click one of the icons below to jump to a section.

System Requirements & Resources

If you are a registered attendee, you can sign into the platform by clicking here. Select “Sign In” from the navigation menu then “Connect with ATD” and use the same email and password you use at td.org. This will validate your registration and allow you access.

We strongly recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers for the best viewing experience. Should you not be able to access Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, we recommend downloading the mobile app, ATD Virtual Events, which is available from the Apple and Google Play app stores. Also, we suggest disconnecting from your VPN to access the conference platform; being connected to a VPN tends to slow down the viewing process.

System Resources

Be sure to review the Attendee Journey for tips to make the most of your conference experience.

Our team is here to help and ensure you have the best possible experience during Government Workforce 2020.

  • If you are having a technical issue with the platform, please use the Help button at the bottom of the homepage to submit your issue.
  • For nontechnical issues and other questions, please email virtualconference@td.org for assistance. We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible.

Planning & Preparing for Your Virtual Conference Experience

Government Workforce 2020 will be very similar to an ATD live conference, minus the sore feet. You can view all live and on-demand sessions under the Program > Agenda tab. To add any session on the agenda page to your personal agenda, click the + symbol in the top right-hand corner of the session, or click on the session itself and select Reserve Spot. You do not need to preregister for any sessions. During the conference, you’ll visit each session’s page at the scheduled time and click the Join Meeting button to access it. Sessions scheduled for September 1 are now available on-demand.

Note: The event schedule is shown in Eastern Daylight Time. If you can’t make a live session, it will be recorded and posted on the session page by the end of day. All content will be available 60 days after the conference has concluded.

Updating Your Profile

We suggest that you complete your profile as fully as possible so that your name, title, company, picture, bio, LinkedIn profile, Twitter handle, and preferred tags are visible on your profile. These attributes are searchable, so the more complete your attendee profile is, the easier it will be for you to connect with your conference colleagues.

William Arruda, author of Digital You, will also lead Why Your Event Profile Matters, a special on-demand session to help guide you through setting up your account and creating your digital profile.

Want to hide your profile? Simply select “Hide my profile from other attendees” under Preferences > Privacy. Please note that by selecting this option you will no longer be searchable in the attendee list, which means that you may make fewer connections.

Networking Opportunities

Networking and engaging with other attendees will be easy and ongoing throughout Government Workforce 2020. We’ve put together some pointers to help you navigate the virtual networking experience.

  • Establish your presence at the conference and set up your profile within the virtual platform. Setting up a complete and accurate profile will allow your peers with similar skills and interests to connect with you. Profile attributes such as role, company, and so forth on your profile are searchable within the People tab.
  • Join the session chats to share your thoughts about the content and connect with your colleagues about the session you’re currently attending.
  • Use the session polls feature to direct your questions to our speakers. Don’t forget to upvote questions that you’d like answered.
  • Network with your colleagues in our networking forums. See which of our topical groups piques your interest and get in on the conversation.
  • Schedule a private meeting with other attendees or our sponsors to connect about their products and services. Private meetings use the free version of Zoom and are held to these limitations (limit of 40 minutes and so on.)

Engage with us and the rest of the Government Workforce 2020 community before, during, and after the event by connecting with others on ATD’s social media channels and using the hashtag #ATDGovernmentWorkforce.
